Melt (Cryo)

Reverse Melt teams require constant Pyro application to set up melts for Cryo Main DPS characters. There are currently a limited number of ways to do this. Alternative Melt compositions do exist and can be found on specific Character pages like Kaeya and Rosaria.

On-Field DPS

Character	Notes
Ganyu	Melts her Charged Attacks on enemies with Pyro applied by Xiangling or Kazuha's Elemental Burst.
Rosaria	Elemental Burst deals Cryo DMG at an interval while being Off-Field. Can be easily paired with both On-Field and Off-Field Pyro characters. Pyro is usually being applied faster than Rosaria's Cryo, so both her Elemental Skill and Burst will be the one triggering Melt. Core Support / Off-Field DPS

Xiangling	Applies Pyro with Elemental Burst in close proximity which allows for characters like Ganyu to trigger Melt reactions between each swing of Pyronado.
Kazuha	Elemental Burst creates a field which can Infuse and apply Pyro. Strongly encouraged to be paired with Bennett if used as the primary Pyro applier.
Jean	Able to use Elemental Burst to create a field that can Swirl Pyro off the player. Must be paired with Bennett if used as a primary Pyro applier.

Flex Support

Character	Notes
Zhongli	Elemental Skill provides a shield which prevents being staggered by enemies which is invaluable for vulnerable characters like Ganyu.
Kazuha	Can be used in addition to a core support Xiangling, and provides an Elemental DMG Bonus based on his Elemental Mastery to up to two Elements. Provides moderate crowd control. Can run Viridescent Venerer 4-set decreases enemies' Elemental RES.
Shenhe	Elemental Skill buffs the team's Cryo DMG. At A4, also buffs either their Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attack DMG or Elemental Burst and Elemental Skill DMG. At A1, Elemental Burst buffs the team's Cryo DMG.
Sucrose	Elemental Burst can be infused with Pyro in order to set up for Melt reactions on enemies with Cryo characters. This is not reliable and should not be used as the primary Pyro applier. Buffs the party's Elemental Mastery and provides strong crowd control. Can run Viridescent Venerer 4-set decreases enemies' Elemental RES.
Venti	Elemental Burst can be infused with Pyro in order to set up for Melt reactions on enemies with Cryo characters. Provides powerful crowd control with his Elemental Burst. Can run Viridescent Venerer 4-set decreases enemies' Elemental RES.
Kaeya	Provides additional Off-Field Cryo DMG in teams which use Rosaria as their Main DPS. May overpower Pyro application, allowing Xiangling to Melt.
Layla	Provides Off-Field Cryo DMG as well as a shield for Rosaria. Using her with Ganyu is not recommended as the Cryo DMG from her Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst will disrupt Ganyu's Melt.

Healer / Shielder

Character	Notes
Bennett	Almost a necessity on this team to provide energy for Xiangling or infuse Kazuha or Jean's Elemental Bursts with Pyro. Provides healing and an ATK buff to the active character standing in his Elemental Burst.

Sample Team Compositions

• Ganyu's primarily Melts her Charged Attacks on enemies afflicted with Pyro from Xiangling's Elemental Burst, while within Bennett's Elemental Burst.

• Zhongli provides a shield to keep Ganyu from getting staggered while charging her attacks.

• Bennett acts as an Energy Battery for Xiangling when her Elemental Burst is down.

• Ganyu's Elemental Burst is often not used frequently as it may interfere with Melting her Charged Attacks.

• A character who can provide shielding is useful in this team as it prevents Ganyu from getting staggered while charging her attacks.

• Xiangling provides consistent Off-Field Pyro application for Rosaria's Cryo centered attacks to Melt.

• Bennett buffs both Rosaria and Xiangling's Elemental Bursts.

• Sucrose shreds Elemental RES through Viridescent Venerer and shares EM with the team, amplifying the Melt Elemental Reactions.

• A notable substitution for Sucrose that isn't listed above is Chongyun.
