# Candace

## Roles

* **Support:** Buffer (Elemental Burst), Cleanser (Elemental Skill, Self Only).

## Character Breakdown

* **Elemental Skill (Tap)** deals **Hydro DMG** to the enemy in front of her.
* **Elemental Skill (Hold)** creates a barrier with her shield that absorbs **DMG** based on her **Max HP**, when it is charged or broken, Candace deals **AoE** **Hydro DMG** to opponents in front of her.
* **Elemental Burst**: Candace deals **AoE Hydro DMG** based on her **Max HP** and provides the following buffs to party members:
  * Characters deal increased **Elemental DMG** with their Normal Attacks.
  * Whenever characters are switched, **AoE** **Hydro DMG** will be dealt.
  * The **Normal** and **Charged** **Attacks** of **Sword**, **Claymore**, and **Polearm**-wielding characters will be infused with **Hydro**.
* **A1** instantly charges Candace's **Elemental Skill (Hold)** when hit by an attack during its duration.
* **A4** causes characters affected by Candace's **Elemental Burst** deal increased **DMG** for every based on Candace's **Max HP** when they deal **Elemental DMG** with their **Normal Attacks**.

## Additional Notes

* **C1** increases **Elemental Burst's** duration by 3 seconds.
* **C2** will increase Candace's **HP** when her **Elemental Skill** hits enemies.
* **C6** creates waves that deal **AoE Hydro DMG** when characters affected by Candace's **Elemental Burst** deal **Elemental DMG** with Normal Attacks.
  * (This effect is considered as **Elemental Burst DMG**).

## Works Well With

* All the damage that Candace can do is based on her **Max HP.** As such, taking advantage of **Hydro Resonance** to obtain a 25% **Max HP** bonus is essential.

* Characters that rely on their **Normal Attacks** to deal **Elemental DMG** will pair well with Candace.

## Does not Work Well With

**Geo** does not have good reactions with **Hydro**.

Candace does not have a skill that applies **Hydro** very frequently and as such is not ideal for causing **Bloom.**

Candace buffs the **Elemental DMG** of Yoimiya's **Normal Attacks** and activates **Hydro Resonance along with** Xingqiu. Yoimiya can make use of the **Hydro** provided by the two to deal high damage **Vaporize** reactions.
