# Off-Field DPS

Off-Field DPS characters can deal damage while not active on the field.

They are often quickly swapped to in order to use their **Elemental Skill** and/or **Elemental Burst** and then immediately swapped off. The effects of their **Elemental Skill** and/or **Elemental Burst** remain active even after having swapped off the character.

Ideally, Off-Field DPS characters also synergize with the team by providing elemental applications for the purposes of setting up **Elemental Reactions** and amplifying the team's damage.
