Anemo
Anemo On-Field DPS are not able to take advantage of any Elemental Reactions to amplify their Anemo DMG. As such, most team compositions focus on buffing the On-Field DPS and ensuring that the On-Field DPS's Elemental Burst is readily available.
Typically, another Anemo character is added to the team to help provide Energy Particles to the On-Field DPS.
Besides the Healer, the final character on the team is often one that deals consistent Off-Field DPS.
Characters
Characters are ranked roughly according to how well they perform in this team composition.
On-Field DPS
Elemental Burst grants an Anemo infusion and increased jump height, allowing him to frequently use Plunging Attacks to deal Anemo DMG.
At C6, his Elemental Skill becomes his primary source of damage.
Elemental Skill lets Wanderer deal large amounts of Anemo DMG with his modified Normal and Charged Attacks.
Gains an Anemo Infusion at C6. It is not recommended to use Kazuha as the On-Field DPS before C6.
Support / Energy Battery
Provides Crowd Control with Elemental Skill and Burst
Provides buffs to team Anemo Damage, and can reduce enemy Anemo resistance.
Provides buff to Normal, Charged, and Plunging Anemo attacks, and can trigger Pressurized Collapse with Constellation 6.
Can Crowd Control enemies by grouping them and can act as an Energy Battery to help Xiao maintain his Elemental Burst's uptime.
Provides ATK buff by wielding Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayer.
Provides better grouping Crowd Control than Sucrose, but is worse as an Energy Battery.
Elemental Burst is best used against heavier enemies as light enemies are lifted too high to be reliably hit by Xiao's Plunging Attacks.
Provides small amounts of Crowd Control.
Opens up a team slot for another character by both serving as an Energy Battery and Healer.
C4 reduces enemies Anemo RES while inside the field created by her Elemental Burst.
Flex Support
Very flexible slot as the team has few requirements. Any Off-Field DPS can be used.
Provides consistent Off-Field Electro DMG through her Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst.
Mainly used for Pyro Resonance.
Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst also deal a large amount of Off-Field Pyro DMG on their own when properly geared.
Elemental Burst deal a large amount of Hydro DMG on their own given the On-Field DPS Normal Attacks frequently. Also provides a DMG buff to any character On-Field while it's active.
Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst provide Damage Reduction to incoming hits.
Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst also deal a large amount of Hydro DMG on their own when properly geared.
Requires Normal Attack weaved in to trigger Elemental Burst.
Elemental Skill provides extra Off-Field Geo DMG.
Can activate Geo Resonance.
Can buff the team when equipped with the Tenacity of Millelith 4-set.
Healer / Shielder
Provides a strong shield and debuffs Elemental RES.
Abilities that easily debuff Anemo RES are rare, with Zhongli's shield being one of the easiest to acquire and use.
Can buff the team when equipped with the Tenacity of Millelith 4-set.
Buffs the ATK of characters standing within the field created by Bennett's Elemental Burst.
Will usually be carrying Noblesse Oblige 4-set to further buff the ATK of party members.
Can activate Pyro Resonance.
Provides healing and acts as an Energy Battery.
Jean's C4 debuffs enemy Anemo RES.
Provides healing, shielding and acts as an Energy Battery with the use of Favonius Bow or Sacrificial Bow.
Provides healing and moderate Energy Battery Support capabilities.
Provides healing and can equip Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers to provide an ATK buff.
Provides healing and can equip Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers to provide an ATK buff.
Provides no major utility outside of healing.
Provides no major utility outside of weak healing and shielding.
Other Healers or Shielders typically provide more utility than Noelle but she can function if you don't have other healers available.
Sample Team Composition
Xiao acts as the On-Field DPS; with his main mode of damage being Plunging Attacks during his Elemental Burst.
Sucrose as an Energy Battery to maintain Elemental Burst uptime.
Xiangling acts as an Off-Field DPS and activates Pyro Resonance with Bennett, who both provides healing and buffs Xiao's ATK.
Xiao acts as the On-Field DPS and uses Jean as an Energy Battery to maintain Elemental Burst uptime.
Jean also functions as a Healer and possible Debuffer at C4.
Zhongli provides a shield and debuffs enemies, while Albedo acts as a Off-Field DPS and activates Geo Resonance.
Zhongli provides one of the only ways to reduce enemies Anemo RES with his Elemental Skill's shield.
C6 Kazuha acts as the On-Field DPS, providing consistent Anemo DMG with his Anemo Infusion.
Jean acts as an Energy Battery, Burst DPS, and Healer and can reduce enemies Anemo RES at C4.
Xingqiu's provides additional Off-Field Hydro DMG with his Elemental Burst as well as applying Hydro for the Anemo characters to Swirl.
Bennett provides healing and an ATK buff, as well as providing Pyro application for Kazuha to Infuse.
