AoE
Area of Effect or AoE refers to abilities that affect or deal damage to a wide area.
Battery
A character capable of providing the party or another character with Elemental Energy Particles. May be used to describe the act of providing the energy.

Damage Per Second Often used to mean a character that deals damage as their primary role.

A character that uses Normal and Charged Attacks On-Field in order to trigger other character's Off-Field abilities.

Elemental Mastery
Enabler
A character whose primary purpose is to set up reactions for the team with their Elemental application. Often an Off-Field DPS character. Within this guide, these characters are typically found in the "Core Support / Off-Field DPS" column on the team pages. See Off-Field DPS.

Energy Recharge
Fireworks
An Electro-Charged team using Tartaglia, Beidou, Fischl, and Bennett See Electro-Charged.
Flex
Characters that aren't essential for a team but can help with either buffing the core members, debuffing enemies, or just added damage.
HB
Healing Bonus
Hypercarry
Refers to characters that need to remain On-Field in order to maximize their damage potential in a team. See Main DPS.
Inter-national
A Reverse Vaporize team consisting of Tartaglia, Xiangling, Kazuha, and Bennett. See Vaporize (Hydro).
Knock back
An effect caused by an attack that displaces enemies out of a field of area.
Morgana
A Freeze team consisting of Ganyu, Mona, Venti, and Diona. See Freeze.
NA
Normal Attack
National
A Reverse Vaporize team consisting of Xiangling, Xingqiu, Bennett, and a utility character. See National.
NO
The Noblesse Oblige artifact set.
Off-Field
Refers to a character's abilities that remain active while the character is swapped out.
On-Field
Refers to a character's abilities that are only active while the character is being controlled. See Main DPS
Perma-freeze
A Freeze team. See Freeze.
Q
Elemental Burst
Quickswap
A playstyle that involves a rapid rotation of Elemental Skills and Elemental Bursts with less focus on Normal Attacks and Charged Attacks.
R1, R2, R3, R4, R5
Weapon Refinement levels
Rational
A National team variant using Xiangling, Xingqiu, Raiden and Bennett. See National.
Resonance
Certain effects that provide team buffs corresponding to the Elements of the characters while in a full team.
Selfish DPS
Refers to characters that need to remain On-Field in order to maximize their damage potential in a team. See Main DPS.
Snapshot
Some abilities determine their damage from the buffs and stats of the character at the time they are cast.
These abilities are said to "snapshot" as even if buffs fall off, the damage these abilities deal, do not decrease.
Soup
A team consisting of a Hydro, Electro, Pyro, and Anemo character which triggers Electro-Charged, Vaporize, Overloaded, and Swirl reactions simultaneously to deal damage.
Stagger
An effect caused by an attack that interrupts the actions of enemy targets.
Sub DPS
Refers to characters that typically provide either consistent damage from Off-Field or large bursts of damage while taking little time On-Field. See Off-Field DPS and Burst DPS.
Sukokomon
A team consisting of Kokomi, Xiangling, Fischl, and Sucrose. This team is not included in this guide due to difficulty of use.
Support
Refers to characters that are usually Off-Field, that buff allied characters, heal or shield the team, or debuffs enemies. See Support. This term can also simply refer to Off-Field DPS as well.
Taser
An Electro-Charged team using a Catalyst character such as Sucrose or Kokomi as a Driver to trigger Electro-Charged reactions. See Electro-Charged (Hydro) or Sucrose.
Taunt
A skill that redirects an enemy's aggression. See Crowd Control.
TotM
The Tenacity of the Milleth artifact set.
TToDS
Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers.
Vapeload /
Overvape
Refers to Elemental Reactions between Electro, Hydro, and Pyro. Since Electro-Charged leaves both Hydro and Electro aura onto enemies, reacting with Pyro will cause both Vaporize and Overload reaction to take place at the same time.
