# Buffer / Debuffer Buffers and Debuffers are supports that directly boost the damage of your characters with their **Elemental Skills** and/or **Elemental Bursts**. Many of these abilities also have other effects other than buffing or debuffing such as providing healing, Crowd Control, shielding, and so on. The boost to your damage can come in the form of either increasing the stats of your characters (buffing) or decreasing the stats of your enemies (debuffing). Depending on the characters you use, different character stats can be buffed or different enemy stats can be debuffed. Some characters gain the ability to buff or debuff through constellations. The current character stats that can be buffed by characters include: * Elemental DMG * Elemental Mastery * Physical DMG * ATK * CRIT DMG * CRIT Rate * Ability Cool Down Time * ATK SPD The current enemy stats that can be debuffed by characters include: * Elemental RES * Physical RES * DEF {% hint style="info" %} Some artifact sets have set bonuses that can allow characters to become Buffers or Debuffers. For example, **Viridescent Venerer's** 4-set bonus allows **Anemo** characters to reduce enemy **Elemental RES** to the **Swirled** element. {% endhint %} {% hint style="info" %} Some weapons have the ability to buff the team. For example, **Freedom-Sworn** can increase the team's **Normal**, **Charged**, and **Plunging Attack DMG** by 16% and **ATK** by 20%. {% endhint %} {% hint style="info" %} The **Superconduct** **Elemental Reaction** (**Cryo** + **Electro**) is the only reaction that innately debuffs enemies. **Superconduct** reduces an enemy's **Physical RES** by 40% for 12 seconds, making it a necessity for any team using a **Physical** On-Field DPS. {% endhint %} ## Characters that can buff/debuff {% hint style="warning" %} Check out the character's page to see how the character works and functions in a team. {% endhint %}

Albedo	At A4, Elemental Burst buffs Elemental Mastery. At C4, Elemental Skill buffs Plunging DMG when the active character is standing within the field created. At C6, buffs DMG when characters are protected by a shield created by Crystallize.
Aloy	At A1, Elemental Skill can buff ATK after Aloy receives the Coil effect from her Chillwater Bomblets hitting enemies.
Amber	At C6, Elemental Burst buffs ATK when enemies are hit by the ability.
Ayaka	At C4, Elemental Burst debuffs DEF when enemies are hit by the ability.
Beidou	At C6, Elemental Burst debuffs Electro RES of surrounding enemies.
Bennett	Elemental Burst buffs ATK when the active character is standing in the created field. At C6, Elemental Burst buffs Pyro DMG when the active character is standing in the created field.
Candace	Buffs the Elemental DMG of normal attacks with her Elemental Burst.
Chongyun	At C2, Elemental Skill buffs Ability Cool Down Time when the active character is standing in the created field.
Collei	At C4, Elemental Burst buffs Elemental Mastery for all characters.
Diona	At C6, Elemental Burst buffs incoming Healing Bonus and Elemental Mastery of active characters while standing inside the field created depending on their current HP.
Ganyu	At C4, Elemental Burst buffs DMG when enemies are standing in the created field. At C1, debuffs Cryo RES when enemies are hit by Ganyu's Charge Level 2 Arrow or Arrow Bloom.
Gorou	Buffs DEF after using Elemental Skill or Elemental Burst. At C6, further buffs all Geo CRIT DMG that is buffed by Gorou.
Jean	At C2, buffs ATK SPD and Movement Speed when Jean picks up an Elemental Orb or Particle. At C4, Elemental Burst debuffs Anemo RES when enemies are standing in the created field.
Kazuha	At A4, buffs Elemental DMG to the element Kazuha Swirls. At C2, Elemental Burst buffs Elemental Mastery when the active character is standing in the created field.
Klee	At C2, Elemental Skill debuffs DEF when enemies are hit by the ability. At C6, Elemental Burst buffs Pyro DMG.
Kujou Sara	Buffs ATK after using Elemental Burst and after using a fully-charged Aimed Shot after using her Elemental Skill. At C6, This effect also buffs CRIT DMG for Electro characters.
Lisa	At A4 debuffs DEF when enemies are hit by Element Burst.
Mona	Elemental Burst buffs all DMG when enemies are hit by the ability. At C1, Elemental Burst buffs Hydro-related Elemental Reactions when enemies are hit by the ability. At C4, Elemental Burst buffs CRIT Rate when attacking enemies that have been hit by the ability.
Nahida	A1 buffs the active character's Elemental Mastery C2 debuffs enemy DEF when affected by her Elemental Skill
Nilou	A1 provides buffs to Bloom's damage, radius, and explosion time when the party contains only Hydro or Dendro characters. A4 further buffs Bloom's damage when Nilou's A1 is active.
Raiden Shogun	Buffs Elemental Burst DMG when Elemental Skill is active. At C4, buffs ATK after Raiden Shogun's Elemental Burst ends.
Rosaria	At C6, Elemental Burst debuffs Physical RES when enemies are hit by the ability. At A4, Elemental Burst buffs CRIT Rate.
Sucrose	At A1, buffs teammates with Elemental Mastery on Swirl. At A4, buffs Elemental Mastery to teammates on Elemental Skill or Elemental Burst hit. At C6, Elemental Burst buffs Elemental DMG to the element Swirled by the ability.
Shenhe	Elemental Skill buffs all party member's Cryo DMG. At A4, Elemental Skill also buffs either Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attack DMG or Elemental Burst and Elemental Skill DMG. At A1, Elemental Burst buffs the team's Cryo DMG. Elemental Burst debuffs Physical and Cryo RES.
Thoma	At C6, provides a buff to Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attack DMG after creating or refreshing a shield with his Elemental Skill or Burst.
Traveler (Anemo)	At C6, Elemental Burst debuffs Anemo RES and Elemental RES of the Swirled element when enemies are hit by the ability.
Traveler (Dendro)	At A1, Elemental Burst buffs the Elemental Mastery of the character inside of it. At C6, Elemental Burst buffs Dendro DMG bonus. If transformed, their Elemental Burst will also buff the party's Elemental DMG for the element that transformed it.
Traveler (Geo)	At C1, Elemental Burst buffs CRIT Rate when the active character is standing in the created field.
Venti	At C2, Elemental Skill debuffs Anemo RES when enemies are hit by the ability. At C6, Elemental Burst debuffs Anemo RES and Elemental RES of the Swirled element when enemies are hit by the ability.
Xiangling	At C1, Elemental Skill debuffs Pyro RES when enemies are hit by the ability. At C6, Elemental Burst buffs Pyro DMG. At A4, Guoba drop buffs ATK.
Xingqiu	At C2, Elemental Burst debuffs Hydro RES when enemies are hit by Xingqiu's Rain Swords.
Xinyan	At C4, Elemental Skill debuffs Physical RES when enemies are hit by the ability. At A4, Elemental Skill buffs Physical DMG.
Yelan	A4 provides a DMG buff to the On-Field character while her Elemental Burst is active.
Yunjin	Elemental Burst buffs Normal Attack DMG. C2 further buffs Normal Attack DMG. C6 buffs ATK SPD for characters that are affected by her Elemental Burst.
Yoimiya	At A4, Elemental Burst buffs ATK.
Zhongli	Elemental Skill debuffs Elemental and Physical RES of surrounding enemies.
